Did it again...
Well...I did it again. I fell behind on my picture a day posts. I knew this would happen, I'm just not that good at things like this! So tonight I will do 3 different days (hopefull) and catch up and tomorrow I'll do a couple more days as well. I knew this would happen and there is no way for me to stay on track ALL the time! Not like anyone reads this anyway haha so really its just for me!

The Half-way House
If anyone is reading this post I'm sure the title caught your eye. No I am not in a drug rehab home or anything of the sorts, the Half-way House is just what my roommate and I call the house we live in here at college. There is a story behind this however haha...The house that we live in is literally only a basement. There is NO house built on top so bacially it is an underground house. From the outside the house looks rundown and overall nasty, but once you step inside all those thoughts are gone! The landlord jut recently renivated (or painted at least) before we moved in so it looks super good. I had to explain the title of this blog before I posted my picture of the day haha, today's picture of the day is "Front doorway". I will post more pictures of the inside of the house probably tomorrow so you all (if anyone haha) can see just how it looks both inside and out!

Day 8- Sun
I have decided that I am going to just bypass day 7 with the picture being a button. I am somehow a day off on my picture a day for Februrary. So today is "Sun". I took this picture literally like 10 minutes ago so its not the best picture or even the prettiest, but for me it works. I do think it is somewhat pretty but it doesn't compare to a country sunset! I am blessed to see gorgeous sunsets when I'm back home on the farm but today I was unable to experience that due to the fact that I have school. So enjoy by day 8 picture of the Wayne Sunset.
Like I said not the best picture, but its what I see everyday no until May, so I might as well enjoy it!

Dinner
Almost too late for my picture of the day but I did get it in so it counts. Although I have noticed that I am a day behind on pictures so looks like I'll have to do two again tomorrow. Tonights picture was supposed to be of dinner, and I'm sure most people who do this photo a day thing always have such great quality photos but I usually just take pictures with my phone. Tonights dinner was something only Nebraska is famous for...RUNZA!!! Runza is one of the greatest, if not THE greatest, fast food restaurants I have ever come across. I know that I am supposed to be a nutritionist and eat healthy all the time but to be honest, sometimes we all need a little cheat day. And today was my day! If any of you just passing through my blog happend to make your way through Nebraska make sure that you try eating at a Runza, I promise you, you will not be dissapointed!
Tonight I decided on a cheeseburger, and fries! And a word of advice, if you get french fries you MUST dip it in Runza's homemade ranch dressing...THE BEST!!

10am
I'm finally in a rythm with my picture a day here in February. Today was an absolutely gorgeous morning! Last night was very foggy and just kinda eerie, but because of that fog and all the moisture last night we awoke to a beautiful sight this morning. Today's picture topic was 10am, so I took advantage of the beautiful art display that mother nature provided me with. After my workout at 9 this morning I went outside and took a few pictures...so here is what I saw this morning at 10am! Enjoy!

Trying to keep up
Haha like I have said before I get all excited about new things and then they eventually die down. And I have yet again fallen behind with my February picture posts so I must do two today. The first picture is for day 3 Fingers. This is an old picture but I love it because John is using my fingers as a teething toy. This was the second time that Emily, Blake and John Henry came up to Nebraska to visit.
And DAY 4- Stranger
Again this is an old picture but still cracks me up. When my parents and I went down to visit my sister in Kentucky we went out to eat at Panera and this woman happened to hop in line right after us so I had to sneak a picture of her super interesting outfit...this picture doesn't even do it justice lol!

Pinterest Dinner
So I am officially addicted to Pinterest, and tonight I decided to actually make one of the recipes that I have pinned about a month ago. I always say that I need to eat healthy and make healthy meals well....this one doesn't fall under that category! Tonight's recipe was Braided Spaghetti. Basically you make a batch of spaghetti and then put that inside a loaf of bread and braid the bread over the top of the spaghetti. Talk about CARBS galore! I decided to take a few pictures in the process of making it so here they are...
As easy at it was I will most likely be using this recipe again! If you want the recipe (if anyone even reads this) just contact me and I will gladly share the link!

Before I braided the bread over the top. The white cubes are Mozzerella cheese! |

After I braided all the pieces. Doesn't look to shabby! |
New Challenge!
I have found a February photo challege that I can get started on right away! And with it only being the 2nd I am not that far behind!

And since it is the 2nd here is my Photo of Words ... A good friend of mine has introduced me to a great new bible verse that I think can work with life every day. Because we need to stand firm with our faith and live each day with strength and love. I am not the most religious person but I do really like this verse!
I knew this would happen...
I knew that as soon as I got a blog I would be all interested in posting new things daily for about a week and then I would die down to nothing. I have an idea on how to keep after it, and I got this idea from my one and only follower and sister haha. I will post pictures for a month straight based upon something I found on Pinterest.
I decided to do this because I FINALLY have a camera again. Its been a little over a month since I've had a camera, and I'm ready to go photo crazy! Since Februrary doesn't have 30 days I might have to wait till March but I am determined to make this work. I am also hoping to periodically post pictures of my daily life...which might be boring for those of you who are just passing through. But I am back to my blogging...for now!

Single Act of Kindness
Like I have said before I try to live my life by the quote Carpe Diem. I try to seize the day in my own way and make the best of every moment. This being said I can't always say that I have the best of days or that I am always a happy person...I have my crabby days where I would rather lock myself in my room and not see anyone, but instead I put on a smile and try to make the best of those days. Today is one of those days unfortunately. I have early morning class and I didn't get much sleep at all last night, so my day hasn't started quite like I had hoped. After class I came home craving a bowl of cereal and I pour a bowl of Captain Crunch and go for the milk...low and behold I am out! Unhappy yet again and still craving that cereal I head to the local Pac'n'Save grocery store. I grab the milk and head to the checkout with the cutest old lady I have seen in a while. I set my milk down and she rings it up and she asks in this very cute and polite voice "Hi dear how are you this morning?". Thousands of complaints ran through my mind, and I could have easily expressed my outlook on the day, but instead I responded with "I'm doing just fine, thank you. How are you doing?" At that question the lady looked up from the register and gave me a smile. After handing me my milk and change she stopped me and said "I have been here since 6 this morning, and you are the first person to ask me how I am doing. Thank you so much!" With that comment I stopped dead in my tracks and gave her a big smile. The single act of asking how her morning was, made her day, and in turn completely changed my view on the day. I was just being polite and it ended up making someone so incredibly happy that it made me happy in return. I don't claim to be the nicest person or happiest person all the time, but I do know how to be polite and courteous. So today for all of you reading (if anyone haha) go out and be polite today, ask someone how they are doing or give them a helping hand, because it could very possibly make that person's day or even your own. God Bless!

Winter is finally here
Well, we have been spoiled with 60degree weather for too long and Mother Nature has finally come to realize that it is January. Last night was spent with a good friend and a walk, on a 50+ degree evening, the tides have changed and today we woke up to 20 degrees, 15-20mph winds and flurries. Quite the change, and that 3 block walk to class was filled with tears and frozen snot. Winter gave me a friendly smack to the face and a great look for 11am class. I must admit though that I have been missing the snow that Nebraska winters bring. The only thing that could make this introduction to winter better would be sharing the couch with a special someone and a big mug of hot chocolate! Hope you all are enjoying this Humpday and the introduction to winter 2012. God Bless and happy readings!
